À Lyn, le 11 mai 2024, à l’âge de 82 ans, est décédée Mme Carol Bell Stevens, résidant à Lyn, autrefois de Valleyfield. Elle laisse dans le deuil son frère Gary, ses belles-sœurs Lucienne et Janet, ses neveux et nièces ainsi que parents et amis. L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière de Valleyfield le 25 mai à 12h. I am so sorry to hear about Carol’s passing away. My wife, Judi, and I have many fond and funny memories of Carol (and Morgan) at the big house in Lyn and at the smaller one in Toronto, where we still live. Judi knew Carol back when they both lived in Montreal. They were great phone talkers and could spend a whole afternoon or evening chatting and laughing together. I am a bit surprised at how shocked I feel about Carol’s passing because I knew for such a long time how ill she was. And yet, she was always so independent! She and Morgan were unique and we were very, very fond of them. Judi is now in a Long Term Care home, with Alzheimer’s, and I will be going to see her today to tell her about Carol’s passing. I’m sure she will remember and mourn Carol, who was one of her last living friends. It’s so sad. My tears well up. We wish her family and friends all the best.

Micheal, we didn’t know each other but Carol would very often, in our telephone conversations, bring up your names and I also know that she loved you both very much. In the last long while, Carol was having a lot of difficulties with her health and you know how stubborn she was, she refused to do anything about it.
I know that she is now in a much better place enjoying a continuance of life with Morgan.
